Sometimes there are great ideas that hit you or that someone brings up and that you just go and shoot within a day or two and the results are awesome. Also sometimes, there are shoots that are booked way in advance that gives you several weeks to months to plan the session, collect ideas, dream up poses and even more, be so extremely excited about the images that you know you will capture. The latter was definitely the case for me with this gorgeous Elizabethtown maternity session. I had been counting down the days and was especially excited to use my first Chicaboo maternity gown! Backstory: Julie reached out to me about having bump to baby pictures done around the time she found out the gender of Baby E. She wanted information on all the sessions and she thought probably maternity pictures too... being photographed while pregnant is not an opportunity we all jump at, and Julie was also hesitant. We reserved the date anyway and I told her if she changed her mind we could make further arrangements
Anyway...… y'all!! I'm SO glad she decided to go along with the session! I met up with Julie and her husband, Lance, at a park in Elizabethtown on a very pretty afternoon. It had been raining at my house all morning so I was concerned about that.... but I brought along a cute, clear umbrella to be safe! Luckily, we ended up not needing to use the umbrella at all, the sun came out and brought some gorgeous rays with it. I love Julie's maternity top, I'm over the moon with the gown shots, and can we talk about those handmade booties by Julie's aunt?! Heart eyes, y'all!
